Soda drinks are readily available in stores. It would become a tradition to drink these on any tradition. cold drinks are not good for human health because they contain a large amount of sugar and cause many serious complications. The table is considered incomplete without them. Soda drinks contain no essential nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and no fibers. It adds nothing to
your diet except for large amounts of sugar and unnecessary calories. The PH level of soda drinks is normally around 2.5. Consuming sugar produces effects similar to that of cocaine, small amounts of alcohol are present in soda drinks but must be less than 0.5%. A soda drink typically contains carbonated water, sugar(in large amounts 50 to 60 grams per glass), preservatives (sodium benzoate, potassium benzoate, and potassium sorbate, etc.), and flavoring agents etc.

1-Risk of diabetes from soda drinks:
People who consume sugary drinks regularly- 1 to 2 cans a day or more, have a 26% greater risk of developing type 2 diabetes than people who avoid soda drinks. By taking 1 can of soda drink - the risk of type 2 diabetes increased by 1.1%. Therefore, people who are already diabetic should avoid soda drinks to avoid other health problems.
When you take soda drinks, your cells become less sensitive to the effects of insulin. So, your pancreas creates more insulin to balance your body's sugars. Therefore, the risk of diabetes from soda drinks is very high.
2-Weight gain:
As you know obesity or weight gain leads to other diseases. Obesity is considered as the mother of all diseases. Soda drinks have high amounts of sugar, and more intake of soda drinks
leads to obesity. In one study, each daily serving of soda drinks was linked to a 60% increased risk of obesity.
3-Cancer:
Soda drinks have high amounts of sugar. So, this increases the risk of cancer. One study of 60,000 adults revealed that those who drank 2 or more sugary drinks per week were 87% more likely to develop pancreatic cancer. If we take soda drink with every meal, the chances of cancer increase.
4-Heart disease:
More intake of soda drinks causes heart disease and high levels of sugar in the blood. A 20-year study on 40,000 men reveals that those who drank 1 sugary drink per day had a 20% risk of dying from a heart attack as compared to men who rarely intake sugary drinks. Heart health is vital for our body. people who consume soda drinks have more chances of a heart attack.
5-Dental problems:
Soda drinks are very bad for your teeth as they contain a lot of sugar. Soda drinks contain chemicals like citric acid, carbonic acid, and phosphoric acid which are very harmful to our teeth. Soda drinks weaken tooth enamel and cause tooth decay.
6-kidney stones:
A study showed that people who consume soda drinks in large amounts have a chance of developing kidney problems. People who consume large amounts of soda drinks are more likely to develop kidney stones. Due to the large consumption of soda drinks, protein cannot be filtered and forms stones in the kidneys.
7-Dry skin:
More intake of sugary soda causes dehydration. Dehydration leads to dry skin and acne. We must avoid the intake of soda drinks to keep our skin smooth and moist.
8-Poor memory:
The Framingham Heart Study (FHS), reveals that more consumption of soda drinks are more likely to have poorer memory, small brain volumes, and small hippocampus.
9-Gout:
Gout is a condition in which there is inflammation and pain in your joints. Gout occurs when high levels of uric acid in your blood become crystallized. Long-term studies tie sugary soda to
75% increased risk of gout in women and 50% increased risk in men.
